Christmas celebration at The Star in Frisco is everything you would expect from a multi-billion dollar Dallas Cowboys franchise and its owner, Jerry Jones. The Star is already a grand plaza on any given day. It’s surrounded by the Omni hotel, a mix of fast casual and upscale restaurants and bars, Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame players’ names carved in stone, an impressive indoor football field, and a members only Cowboys Club. Now, The Star is home to a 52-inch Christmas tree, confirmation that Frisco is firmly planting its foot in the holiday game when it comes to must-see attractions.
What You Can Expect
It’s all part of a celebration filled with lights, music, and something you won’t see even at other holiday celebrations in DFW — the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. We attended the tree lighting celebration on November 24 and really enjoyed it. The weather was comfortable and breezy and not too crowded. When the performance kicked off and Santa made his debut, the crowd lit up. The Jones family officially lit the tree which erupted in more dancing by the drumline and cheerleaders. It was awesome and all very family-friendly. A huge plus.
The Cowboys Christmas Spectacular at The Star will take place on Tostitos Championship Plaza every Friday and Saturday night at 6pm from November 24 through December 22. Enjoy a weekly showcase of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancers and Drumline, appearances by Santa and more. The Star is located at 9 Cowboys Way, Frisco, TX 75034. Admission and parking are free.
